The inspiration for creating this drawing came from one of the family’s trips to the countryside of the state of Santa Catarina, in the Águas Mornas region. However, although the boy is dressed in peasant attire, he does not possess common features of the people from the Southern Brazil. With dark skin and curly hair, he is, in fact, a representation of Alessandra’s father in the form of a child – a significant influence present in her works.
