This sketch shows one of the streets in the small town of Annecy in France. It was one of the most beautiful places we visited on our last vacation.
Annecy is an Alpine town in south-eastern France, where Lake Annecy flows into the River Thiou. It is known for its old town (Vieille Ville), with streets paved with rounded stones, winding canals and pastel-colored houses. Overlooking the city, Annecy’s medieval castle, the former home of the counts of Geneva, houses a museum with regional items such as Alpine furniture and sacred art, as well as a natural history exhibition.
